MTS Technologies Welding Capabilities

Currently MTS have the following welding capabilities and experience

MIG - Flux core and solid wire
GTAW (TIG) - All materials excluding Titanium and Magnesium

MMA - Hardfacing, cast iron and general repairs

Oxy/Acetylene - Brazing, soldering and cutting

Plasma Cutting - Up to 30mm thickness (Mild Steel)

The above processes are carried out in our fabrication workshop that is equipped with welding positioners and rotators.

In addition to the welding capabilities above, MTS also carry out mechanical cutting by bandsaw, abrasive saw, punch and shears.

Common welding projects undertaken by MTS include:

- General fabrication - All types (Ferrous and non-ferrous)

- Special material application such as Stellite brand and equivalent 

- Hardfacing - Drilling rig components, Earthmoving equipment

- Cutting tool refurbishment such as guillotine blades and punches

- Cast Iron repairs

- Inconel repairs

- Silver soldering

- Drafting
